John Henry Fetty was in the 7th Regimental W. Va. Infantry "The Bloody Seventh " assigned out of Wheeling,WV during the Civil War.

He had black eyes, black hair, dark complexion, height 6’6”.
He was credited to Sistersville, WV.

His mother Mary received a Pension for her son’s contribution to the Civil War.
This man’s burial place was found in 2001 by Navada Fetty.

John Henry Fetty  -  son of George Fetty & Mary Kerns - Fetty and younger brother of
Lt. Colonel Elmore H. Fetty, of the 7th Regimental W. Va. Infantry.

In 1911 West Virginia state historian Virgil Lewis procured from the State Adjutant General's Office the records of West Virginians who served in Union militia units. These records, which
